Preparing home-baked `challot`(Shabbat bread)

 

in an  authentic local bakery in the  heart of Jerusalem. Close to the  Mahane Yehuda market in a small house lies a fascinating bakery.

There we take part in a workshop , to learn the process of preparing the dough, the ceremony challah, and to  plait the challot in different sizes. Within an hour everybody receives a fragrant, tasty challah with baked from their hearts.

the bakery is in  a Hassidic family's home. Enjoy some refreshments. Hear stories and learn how to make challah (Shabbat bread). + Each person is able to make their own Challah.
